Huggables

We have been offering Huggables for years now – long before anyone thought of calling them Huggables. They are always in black and white and mounted in 16x16, 20x20 or 24x24 Quickmats. During your child's earlier sessions, we take dozens of images of hands, feet, ears, bellybutton, etc. A black and white contact sheet is provided and you cut and paste how you would like your Huggable to look.

Virtual Paintings

We have truly hit our stride with our virtual paintings. Through Christmas, our virtual paintings are 25 percent off. Call today for your appointment. Click on this image to see it larger. It was made on location last year.

An update ... finally

It's about time I updated my blog. This should really be done everyday.

We have photographed a lot of weddings this year and they have all been a pleasure to cover. We have enjoyed incredible success with our comprehensive wedding package that literally includes everything you need from your wedding photographer. Our most recent wedding was Johnna Ballard and Kelly Harrelson. They make a really nice couple. Their reception was especially nice.

Alice's Portrait

Here is the Virtual Painting that Fuller created of Alice for her wedding portrait. Fuller has perfected this technique and teaches it to photographers from across the state. The 20x24 finished canvas of this hangs in his Memory Plaza gallery. The image was created in the style of master artist John Singer Sargent.

We're Still Photographing Class of 2006 Seniors!

Just like Johanna here, we still have seniors from the class of 2006 having their portraits made. It's never too late for senior portraits.

Johanna is a real David Bowie fan. With her Bowie shirt on, we added a backstage look to her portrait with a vintage David Bowie concert poster blended in.

The Kimball-Schott Wedding

Janet and I photographed the Alice Kimball-Brian Schott Wedding this past Saturday. There were two other major weddings that same day, but I can guarantee you that no one had more fun than the guests of Alice and Brian.

While several sets of ominous looking clouds threatened the proceedings, the wedding never suffered any rain. In fact, the air cooled considerably as the Holiday Band performed into the night at the Madison House.

One of the many nice touches that Alice and Brian had was a guest reception area where each couple or family had a Polaroid picture made. Each signed the front and it was placed into a keepsake album for the newly married couple.

The refreshment stations were also a hit offering varous beverages including iced water, iced lemonade and iced tea.

We took about 1,100 photographs and we've narrowed them down to 300 for Alice and Brian to look at. They will receive CDs of those 300 images with full permission to print and copy as they wish. They can also burn copies of the CDs to send to relatives and friends. With the CDs, they will have a full color guide to all of the images, from which they will choose the final images for their designer album.

Soon, we will have a selection of their wedding images posted on our wedding pages.

Hot Weather Weddings

The height of summer is upon us and there are weddings just about every weekend. When it gets this hot, you will find that your guests much prefer good old fashioned iced-tea over punch. And always have iced water, even if your wedding is indoors. Just moving from the church to reception can be draining in this heat, too.

High School Senior Ambassadors Needed

Fuller is looking for ambassadors from Green Sea-Floyds, Loris and all three Brunswick County high schools. Rising seniors and juniors at each of those schools interested in representing Fuller's senior portrait program in those schools should contact the studio. The ambassador program is a good way to earn hundreds of dollars in senior portraits.

Beach Portraits

You have to be standing on a North Carolina beach as the sun sets to truly appreciate life next to the ocean. The blue of the sky and water and the soft light spreading over sand and surf. Against that backdrop are made some of the best family portraits to be found. Fuller and Janet create beach portraits year-round. Call now for your appointment. Beach portrait sessions are $50 and there is a minimum purchase requirement of a 16x20.
For any beach north of Holden or south of Myrtle, mileage is charged.

Senior Pictures at Your School

The rules at each high school say that to be in the yearbook, you have to have your senior picture taken at school.
But you don't have to purchase any. Save up your hard-earned cash for the real thing at Fuller's with Senior Packages starting at $99.

Class of 2007 Senior Portraits

Congratulations to Carla Stevens. She is our first Class of 2007 senior to be photographed this season. We started something new with Carla ... spending part of her session in her home using natural light window photography.
See all of her images on the New Senior Images Page.

Competition Prints

Of the six prints Fuller entered in the Professional Photographers of North Carolina's annual Print Competition, three scored 80 or higher. Each of those received a Print Credit and was admitted to the the PPNC's 2006 Traveling Loan Collection. This is Fuller's fifth print to make it to the Loan Collection.

Four of those prints were then submitted to regional competition with the Southeastern Professional Photographers Association or SEPPA. Three prints scored 80 or better and were given PPA Seals of Approval. Once those three prints arrive at National PPA judging in July, they will automatically be awarded Merits and considered for the PPA Loan Collection. The fourth print will be judged for merit and loan consideration.

The second image, a painting of a bodybuilder, was used by our lab as a 30x40 display in its booth at the 2006 Convention and Trade Show of the Professional Photographers of North Carolina.

The third image, of a junior cowboy, was chosen for the PPNC Loan Collection. His outfit is part of our DreamMaker children's collection - one of dozens of outfits for youngsters ages 5-6.
